Welcome to MiniPause – a transformative one-day retreat that supports women in midlife to reconnect with themselves, find balance and embrace the natural transitions of perimenopause and menopause with grace and gratitude.

MiniPause provides a nurturing space where self-healing, mindfulness, and connection come together to create a powerful experience.  Through guided meditations, mindful exercises, and nature-based activities, you’ll embark on a path of self-discovery and awareness.

The one day retreat is designed to gently guide you through stages of reflection, empowerment, and growth, all within the stunning natural environment of Aldinga Beach.  This journey is about more than addressing life changes – it’s about celebrating your unique path and finding joy in the present moment.

The program is accessible, stress-free, and offers the chance to connect with like-minded women while enjoying the healing power of nature. Every day is crafted to inspire self-awareness, gratitude, and a deeper understanding of oneself.

Connecting with Nature & Self-Care

12:00 – 12:30 PM – ‘Ocean Breath’ Mindful Beach Walk
Walking meditation along Aldinga Beach, allowing the soothing ocean air and rhythmic waves to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote mindfulness.

12:30 – 1:00 PM – Nourishing Light Lunch
Enjoy a fresh locally sourced, nourishing light lunch, designed to support women’s wellness and vitality.

Deep Relaxation & Rejuvenation

1:00 – 1:30 PM – ‘Embracing Stillness’ Guided Meditation
A deep relaxation meditation to reset the mind, restore balance, and enhance emotional well-being during menopause.

1:30 – 2:30 PM – ‘Nature’s Wisdom’ Walk in Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park
Immersive nature therapy, proven to reduce stress hormones, boost energy, and promote emotional clarity.

Transformation & Close

2:30 – 3:00 PM – ‘Inner Harmony’ Meditation
A grounding meditation to anchor the insights gained throughout the day, leaving you feeling calm, clear, and connected.

3:00 – 4:00 PM – Reflection & Closing Circle
A final gathering to integrate the learnings, share takeaways, and leave with a renewed sense of self and purpose.

Please note the results of the retreat will vary from person to person. They are not a guarantee but an opportunity to unlock the pathway to personal growth and wellbeing.

MiniPause is hosted by Marketa who founded MiniPause, to create a space for connecting and raising awareness about perimenopause and menopause.

After struggling with symptoms for years, Marketa discovered the term “perimenopause” through Dr. Sabina Brennan, which transformed her understanding and sparked her desire for open dialogue.

Marketa has a diverse background in finance, alternative medicine, and education reflecting her passion for well-being, inclusiveness, and personal growth.

Marketa is passionate about sharing her own healing journey with others that intentionally seek happiness and wellbeing.

Privacy and confidentiality is vital for our work and we are all required to treat each other with loving kindness and mutual respect.

MiniPause is not:

  • a retreat with overnight accommodation
  • a formal educational retreat, religious session, or medical advice forum.
  • a place where formal materials like workbooks or handouts are distributed.

MiniPause is not an accredited retreat, and is not intended to provide professional guidance – it’s simply a supportive space for self-connection and shared experiences.

  • Water and snacks if desired.
  • An open mind and heart ready to engage with the group and the environment.

The small group size ensures that everyone has a chance to be heard, share, and feel supported in a comfortable, intimate setting.

MiniPause will go ahead regardless of the weather! The outdoor nature walk will be adjusted as needed, but embracing the elements is part of the experience.

Not at all. MiniPause is designed for both beginners and those with mindfulness experience. You’ll be gently guided through each activity.

  • A good sense of humour about yourself.
  • A willingness to approach the MiniPause experience with kindness and openness.
  • A readiness to let go of old habits that no longer serve you.

Should you need to withdraw from a retreat, please advise us as soon as possible, so that your place can be offered to someone on the waiting list.

If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us via email at marketa@minipause.au at least 5 weeks before your start date.

A refund is available ONLY for cancellations made at least 5 weeks prior to the start date of the retreat and will be subject to a cancellation administration fee of $50.

We recognise that sometimes unexpected changes in circumstances mean that people are unable to proceed with a retreat as they had planned.

If an attendee does not attend the retreat they are booked into, and they do not advise MiniPause in writing beforehand, NO REFUND will apply.

For cancellations made within the 5 weeks prior of the retreat start day, including for illness, no refund is available, however participants may transfer their registration to another available retreat date, subject to availability.

All withdrawals, cancellations and transfers incur an admin fee.  The admin fee partially covers our administration expenses. Unless otherwise stated the admin fee is $50.

MiniPause reserves the right to cancel retreats if there are insufficient numbers or other circumstances which necessitate cancellation.  In such circumstances a full refund will be provided or you can move to an alternative date.
